….the knee has healed and is still trying to get back to “normal” although it might take up to a year, but at least it’s without the pain prior to surgery.
We took a road trip end of February once I was done with physical therapy and we visited family in Colorado Springs for a week, travelled to Van Buren, Arkansas for another week to visit my sister-in-law, and ended up in Pensacola, Florida to spend another week with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. What a trip we had. Weather was beautiful, my knee held out with plenty of icing and stops along the way, and we got to spend precious time with family.
Once we started our journey back home beginning of April, we both were sick, dogs were tired of riding in the car, and we hoped we would make it over the mountain ranges for the final trip home before that inevitable snow fell. We did and were glad to be home….even with two huge rocks landing on our windshield one day apart! But still you do realize how good it is to sleep in your own bed, finally mow your knee-high yards, and not sit in a car!
Beginning of May started our Driftwood Beadery season so we were home in time to beef up inventory before that first big event. Now we’re busy busy busy and looking forward to the multiple events I have scheduled this year……besides spending time at the coast in our RV.
I am hoping I can get back to this blog before too long…..sooner than I have been! But again I will leave you with this thought…….
“Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.” — Samuel Ullman
……..and here I am looking forward to the busy-ness of the season!
